To kick off Biodiversity Week 2024 we were delighted to welcome local beekeeper, Michael Barrett to Kilcolman.
We were treated to a very informative presentation on all things to do with our native bees.
We learned that bumblebees are solitary and don’t sting. Also, honey bees in our local area travel no more than 3km to and from their hives.
Lots of great questions were answered on the day!
